  1. I have no idea about Native Americans, so I found this movie informative as well as interesting. Starting with the Cherokee: I had NO IDEA that the Cherokee were the first to have a written language.
I also did not know that in preparation for war, the Cherokee played a game similar to Lacrosse named "Little War" but there are more people and less rules. Next, The Kiowa: I didn't know that they were known to move around a lot. Because they move very frequently, they have very portable homes (tepees). And I also didn't know that to make fires, they use...um...buffalo manure. Anyway, that's all, and I hope you enjoyed reading this! I await our next Native American project!

    1. Turner, great details! Yes, using buffalo manure is very resourceful. You'll find other peoples used this method as we continue our studies this year. Often, kids were the ones who had to collect the buffalo droppings!

I also learned that Sacoya invented the first written language. And most Mandan farming is done by women. I didn't know that tipis were made to be movable!

  7. I want to study the Mandans I was really intrigued that they drove bison of a cliff and killed them. I think shepherds got the idea from the Mandans. I did not know that indians used bison scat or poo or chips I accidentally fell in bison poo before. My grandma and grandpa have walked in one of those cave houses before
