  1. I loved visiting Washington on the Brazos! The most important thing I learned was that for a while, they made the chimneys of the slave's houses out of wood and mud! It was so important to me to learn because now we would never make a chimney out of wood, but apparently, I guess back then, they thought it was okay! Also, the most interesting thing I learned was that Anson Jones died because he shot himself! I already new he killed himself but I didn't know how.

  5. Visiting Washington on the Brazos was so much fun! The most interesting thing I learned is that Anson Jones got his arm crushed by a horse and was miserable so shot himself. I think that that is interesting because he could of lived longer but killed himself.Another interesting fact is that slaves were very expensive. I think that that was interesting because two slaves cost as much as his big house! I think that the most important thing that I learned is that slaves were treated not that bad. I think that because Anson Jones' slaves were provided with a nice house, clothes, food and water

  6. At Washington on the Brazos I had a great time. I loved everything about it. It really made me think about how I would live as someone in that time. one important thing i learned was that everyone had to do their fair share on the farm and in order to do that kids would only go to school three months a year. it was interesting that Anson Jones killed himself. I loved his backyard my favorite part was doing the laundry. At the museum tour I loved the hand painted murals. I liked the scavenger hunt and the pioneer play house. That was a great field trip

  7. I enjoyed going to Washington on the Brazos. I thought it was important that Anson Jones hated Texas when he came at first but people begged him to stay because all the other doctors were dead. I think it was interesting that Anson jones was keeping his slaves in nice houses to show of his money. I really liked that field trip and the lone star museum and the nature walk and just basically everything. that was one of the best field trips ever so glad that we could go.

  11. I loved Washington on the Brazos!!!! I thought it was important that Anson Jones HATED Texas, and the only reason why he stayed was because people were going to pay him a lot to be a Doctor there. A interesting fact I learned was that a indian tribe blew a Buffalo bladder into a ball then let it dry!!!!!!! Over all I LOVED everything!!!!

  12. Visiting Washington on the Brazsos was so much fun. I thought it was cool that Anson Jones didn't like Texas the only reason he stayed there was because he made money being a doctor because of the cololara epidemic. And how he committed suicide. I learned that niative Americans push Buffalo off a cliff so that they wouldn't get any punctures in their skin so they could use every single part of the Buffalo even the organs! Overall I thought it was cool and it might've been the best field trip is my lower school career!!!!!!!!!!!!
