Science Share



Monday is your first science test. You've been learning about the metric system and nutrition. Please share four to five facts that you have learned during these units. What is your studying strategy? Be sure to write in complete sentences and use the correct punctuation and capitalization.

  1. Half of my plate is veg. and fruit. Water carrys out waste and make blood. you need vitamin D and calcium. I ask an adult to ask question so I can answer them.

  2. poultry is the group of birds we eat. two of the rules for my plate is to eat slowly and to use a small plate. The nutrient groups are water,carbs,vitamins,protein,mineral and fats. I practice by doing flash cards.

  3. This is the way I study: my parents ask me questions while I answer them from memory. A fact I learned is that fat makes your hair shiny and your skin smooth.

  4. You need 8 glasses of water a day. Your body is 2/3 water. 2 rules from my plate are... you need to eat slowly + avoid extra fat. The food groups are protein,fats,sweet,oil,grain,veg,fruits. How I learn them is I make my parents quiz me.

  6. some fats like the ones in avocados make your skin smooth. Also that vitamins d comes from playing out doors. Also that the food groups are grain,veggies,fruit,dairy,protein. Also that water keeps your blood temperture normal and it caries waste. Also that you have to have 8 glasses every day.

I learned that fat and water carry vitamins through your body, that fat stains forever, that light can shine trough fat on a paper bag, that the three carbohydrates are starch, sugar and fiber, that 2 jobs of water are helps you digest and helps make blood, the 6 nutrients are water, minerals, carbohydrates, protein, fat, and vitamins.

  8. Some of the things have learned are you need to drink 8 glasses of water each day, The two minerals are iron and calceam, Vidamins are chimacals found in food, Starch has slow energy and, Sugar has fast energy.

  9. I leaned that Fiber helps you youse the bathroom. There are 6 nutrients they are Vitamin, Minerals, Water, Fats, Protein, Carbs. Vitamin A gives us good night vison and Vitamin C helps heal cuts and prevents scurvy. There are 3 types of carbs those are Sugar, Starch, and, Fiber. A good source of Fiber is bran. Carbohydrates gives you good energy for work and play. Light wate food is important to space travel. Hypothesis is a good guess. This would be a healthy lunch = a sandwich on whole weat bread with turkey, tomato lettuce chesse and milk with a cookie. If you do not have anuf from the Fats, Oils and Sweets group you will not have energy, your hair will not be shiny and you will not have smoth skin. One of the ways I study is I will write down a question and if I do not get it right I wright it 30 times and say it 30 times and I made note cards that I look at in the shower and my mom quizs me on them.

  10. Half of your plate is veg. 2/4 of water. Drink 8 glass of water a day. Eat slowly. Poultry is the group of meat. Curtis fruits can peel a part.

  11. I am practicing with flash cards. Writing the question on the front and the answer on the back, I asked at someone to quiz me. I also plan to go to tutorial. I have learned so much and I hope to do good on the test!
