Monday is your first science test. You've been learning about the metric system and nutrition. Please share four to five facts that you have learned during these units. What is your studying strategy? Be sure to write in complete sentences and use the correct punctuation and capitalization.
You need 8 classes of water per day. Calcium and vitamin D help prevent rickets. Citrus fruits help prevent scurvy. There are 1,000 grams in one kilogram.
ReplyDeleteMy stratagy is to use note cards. You need 8 glasses of water a day. Its healthy to have onely o-1 sweats a day. Vitamin d comes from the sun. Sugers and starches are carbs.
ReplyDeleteI learned that vitamins are chemicals found in foods, that kilo means 1000, a paper clip weighs a gram, vitamin a gives you good night vision and tuna is in the meat group.
ReplyDeleteVitamins are chemicals. You need 8 glasses of water each day. Vitamin A gives you good night vision. Vitamin D and Calcium help prevent rickets. Citrus fruits prevent Scurvy.
ReplyDeleteI learned vitamins K helps make scabs, minerals are found in rocks and metals, fibers helps push food through large intestines, starches give us slow energy, sugars give us fast energy.
ReplyDeleteThese are the facts that I have learned...
ReplyDeleteº That Vitamin D keeps you from having Scurvy
º That Vitamin A helps you have good night vision
º The whole world uses the metric system except the U.S
º Vitamin K helps make scabs
º The protein group used to be called the Bread Group
My studying strategy is to use flash cards.
I am very nervous about my science test.
I have learned a lot about nutrition. I've learned that Vitamin A helps you have good night vision and Calcium and Vitamin D work together to prevent Rickets. I have also learned that Vitamin K makes scabs, vitamin C helps heal cuts and Iron helps blood carry oxygen. My mom is helping me study and I'm sort of nervous.
ReplyDeleteI learned how to draw my plate but I cant really draw it right here but I can explain it to you. Veggie is on the top left and it is right on top of fruit and it is also bigger than fruit. And on the top right of the circle is grain which is bigger than protein which is right next to fruit. Also, there is dairy in its own circle next to grain. I also learned that my body is 2/3 water, I learned about rickets and scurvy, and I learned that Vitamin A lets you have good night vision. My study strategy is for my mom to quiz me and to look at the purple sheet.
ReplyDeleteI'm exited and nervous at the same time about our science test. Here are some facts that I learned:
ReplyDeleteVitamin C helps prevent Scurvy
Calcium and Vitamin D work together to prevent Rickets
Vitamin A gives you good night vision
Vitamin K helps make scabs
Lean is another word for low fat
Salt, Calcium, and Iron are all minerals
Iron helps your blood carry oxygen
The whole world except the U.S. uses the metric system
I am so ready for the test! But I'm also scared!!
I leaned that:
ReplyDelete2/3 of our body is water
Vitamin A helps see better
Fiber helps you poop
Vitamin K makes scabs
Calcium and Vitamin D work together to stop Rickets
Fats give you shiny hear
Iron helps your blood carry oxygen
My mom and dad are helping me study I'm nervous so I wish every one
good luck!

That there 6 food groups. 1. Fats, Oils, Sweets. 2. Dairy. 3. Protein. 4. Vegetables. 5. Fruit. 6. Grain,
That there are 6 nutrient groups. Water, Fats, Protein, Minerals, Vitamins, & Carbohydrates,
That there are 4 main vitamins. Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, & Vitamin K,
That vitamins are chemicals.
Good luck to everybody in the class on the test.
Bye,
Holden :)
In science I learned that
ReplyDelete*Vitamin A gives us good night vision
*Vitamin C helps heal cuts and prevents scurvy
*Vitamin D works with calcium to make strong bones. If we don't have enough we get rickets. Our skin makes it from the sun touching our skin
*Vitamin K helps make scabs
*Carbs come from plants. Carbs are sugar ,starch and fiber
*Fiber helps push foods through large intestines.
*Starch gives you slow energy but it lasts for a long time.
*Sugar gives you fast energy but it does not last you long.
*Calcium is from the milk group or dairy group. It makes strong bones. If you don't have enough you will get rickets.
*Minerals come from rocks and metals.
*Iron helps blood carry oxygen. We only need a little bit each day.
*The food groups are grain, protein, fruit, veggie, dairy and fats, sweets and oils.
*The nutrient groups are water, fats, carbs, protein, vitamins and minerals.
*Protein is from the meat group. It builds muscles and bones.
*Fat gives us energy. Fat keeps our hair shiny and our skin smooth. It even carries some vitamins. Our brain is 60% fat.
*Water helps digest food. It is good to have at least 8 glasses each day. Our body is more than 2/3rds water. Water helps keep our body temperature normal. Water gets rid of wastes. Water makes our blood.
I am studying and I am sort of nervous for the science test. I am studying hard.
I study a little every day. In Science I learned that iron helps blood to carry oxygen. Your body needs 8 glasses of water a day. Fats make your hair shiny. I learned that Vitamin D prevents rickets. Fiber pushes food through your large intestines. Calcium helps to make strong bones. I learned that Earth's gravity is 6 times bigger than the moon's gravity.
ReplyDeleteI study one hour every day. In science I learned that
ReplyDelete*Fiber helps with your digestive system
*Vitamin K helps make scabs
*Vitamin C comes from citrus fruits
*Water gets rid of waists
The four things I learned were...
ReplyDelete*Vitamin K helps make scabs
*Metric units are used everywhere besides the U.S.A.
*Vitamin A gives you good night vision
*Vitamin D helps prevent scurvy
My studying strategy is to just to stay calm.
I learned that the deficiency disease for vitamin D is called rickets. ( Thats when your leg bone bends). You need more servings of grain then any other food group. Water carries vitamins through your body. Some fats are good for you. Vitamin K makes scabs. My strategy is my mom asks me Questions from all the papers in my book and I answer them.
