A Long Trip
The pioneers travelled 2,000 miles from Independence, Missouri to Oregon Country. The trip was slow-going and took 6 months by wagon! Think about the longest trip you have been on. How did you get to your destination (bike, car, plane)? What did you do for entertainment? How did you feel when you arrived?

  1. The longest trip I have taken is a 4 hour plane trip to Maine. It was the longest 4 hours in my life and there was no internet so my entertainment was drawing, sleeping and playing tick tack toe. When we arrived at the Maine airport I felt dizzy and sick. But when we got to the house in Maine I felt much better.

  3. The longest trip I ever took was to my ranch. It was 4 hours in the car. I played on my Itouch, read a book, drew pictures, and I napped. I felt very good when we got there because I didn't think we were ever going to get there!

  4. The longest trip I have ever taken was my trip to Nepal a couple of years ago. First, we had to fly to Doha, Quatar in the Middle East. That was a 15 hour plane ride! We spent the night at a hotel in Doha and then had a 4 hour plane trip the next day to Kathmandu, Nepal. I was so glad to be off of the plane, to be able to stretch, walk around and have a good meal. I listened to music, slept, watched movies and read a book on my journey. Travelling can be tedious and stressful but getting to the destination is the reward!

    1. Ravi, 22 hours is a very long journey! It's strange to have to adjust to different time zones, isn't it!
