Field Trip

Tomorrow we'll travel downtown and back in time as we tour historic homes from the Houston area! This year we've also been to Panda Path and the Jesse Jones Nature Center. Think back to your lower school experience. What has been your favorite field trip ever? Was is a trip from 3rd grade, 2nd grade or even Kindergarten? Please write about your favorite field trip experience. Why was it the best field trip ever?

  1. I love The PRE-K Museum Of Fine Arts field trip. They said that we were the only class that was doing it. We looked at Van Gough and other famous ones. It was my favorite because we got to see lot of amazing art. Good Afternoon, Niko

  2. My Favorite Field Trip Was When I Went To Jesse Jones Nature Center. I Really Liked It Because We Got To See What Life In The Pioneer Days And What Kids Liked To Play Back Then. My Favorite Part Was When We Got To Go Into |The Cellar|. I Really Liked It Because It Was Kind Of Hidden And I REALLY Like Hidden Stuff And Places. My Second Favorite Part Was Doing Tug Of War. My Third Favorite Was Listening To The Music That The Students Played. My Fourth Favorite Was Looking At And Feeling The Animal Fur And Coats. My Fifth Favorite Was Looking At The Pigs. My Sixth Favorite Was At The Blacksmith. And Finally, The Seventh, The Hoe Cakes. I Am Missing Lots Of Information That I Could Put Down, But, I Have Already Written ALOT!

  3. I loved the Panda Path field trip this year! I liked it because you we're giving to kids and donating books. I especially loved it when we picked out pajamas with our book buddy! I liked reading to them even if they we're shy and didn't talk a lot. I remember this one time it was time to leave and the girl I just read to had a smile on her with her book.

  6. I like going to Jesse Jones nature center because we got to play games. I also liked it because it looked really really cool. Their displays were really realistic. And they did a great job of explaining life in the 18 30s. My favorite game was tug-of-war. The hike there was also great it looks like memorial park sort of.

    1. I agree. The replica of the homestead looks like it could have been transported from 1840! The students also did a wonderful job explaining life back then.

  7. I liked going to Panda Path. It felt really good to give kids books because they don't really have as much as we do. I liked when we got to pick our partners there and I like picking pajamas with our buddies. One of my partners is really shy but she like the book that she got. My other buddy was really talkative and I really liked her she was really nice.

  15. My favorite field trip was going to the printing museum. Because I liked seeing the old printers and the new printers and how they worked I think the old printers are way more simple but more dangerous and less accurate. And I liked the history of printing.
