  8. I am studying the Tonkawas. My artifact is the Tepee. The tepee was important to the tonkawas because they moved a lot. They used the tipi because it was easy to put up and take down. It took about 30 minutes to put the tepee up and take it down. The way i am making my tepee is i am going to put pipe cleaners as the sticks on the tepee and for the cover i am going to put fabric on it. I am also going to put a small tonkawa painting on it because the tonkawas had small paintings on the tepee. hope everyone has a good day!

  12. I'm making a warrior's headdress. It is important to my tribe because it made enemies intimidated. It helped my tribe because once they saw warriors' headdresses it made them scared and that helped to attack easily because they were scared and that made them afraid. So that they would back down. And it made my tribe successful at war and one of their main symbols that represents their tribe was war and the warrior's headdress represents war. To make it i;m using leather, clay, feathers. Have a nice night.

  17. I am studying the Comanche. I am making a knife. This symbolizes how the Comanche were fierce and ruthless warriors. They were one of the most successful tribes when it comes to war. The way they made a knife is they took a tree branch or piece of wood and put a piece of flint or steel(..?)on it and wrap rawhide around it. Then, they would dampen the rawhide. Rawhide gets tight when wet. And PRESTO! You have a Comanche knife! Don't try this at home, kids! ☺

    Goodnight!
