What is one interesting fact you have learned about your tribe's food, dwellings or clothing? What is one question you would still like to find the answer to?
I learned that they ate fried bread, buffalo stew, and used buffalo chips for fuel. Also they made leggings, and shirts, and in the winter children wore grown up clothing and they lived in tipis.

DeleteIn 3rd grade we are studying Native Americans I am studying Ojibwa. I learned that they hunted Deer, Rabbit, Squirrel, Porcupine, Wild Turkey and Birds. ReplyDeleteI learned that they eat fried bread.(YUCK!!!!!!!!!!)They also made moccasins out of buffalo skins. They were nomads because they relied on buffalo. I wonder what the children did for fun?

DeleteI learned that the Comanche tribe used to live in the mountains before they moved to Texas. Also that they had to move a lot to hunt down the buffalo so that's how they got from the mountains to Texas. Where are they now?
ReplyDeleteI learned that Chumash hunted and didn't just fish. I also learnd that they didn't just eat meat & fish. They also ate berries and nuts. I want to learn what games they played.

ReplyDeleteI learned that the Cherokee built walls around their villages. I wonder how big the walls were? The Cherokee also used traps to catch fish. They also hunted land animals like deer, bears, and buffalo. The Cherokee were also good farmers.
ReplyDeleteI learned that the Chumash ate shell fish, whales, deer, rabbits and crushed berries and nuts. I want to learn what kinds of games they played and what they wore. I also learned that dolphins and rainbows were a very important part of their lives because the Chumash warriors believed that they could escape through rainbows as dolphins.

ReplyDeleteI am studying the Hopi tribe.I learned that The Hopi tribe ate corn almost every day.
ReplyDeleteThey ate all different kinds of corn too.
I learned that the Cherokee hunted, farmed, and gathered. I also learned that women wore deerskin as skirts, and shirts. Another thing I thought was really cool is that they had a summer and a winter house. Something I really want to learn is what their pottery looks like.
ReplyDeleteI am studying the Ojibwa tribe I didn't know that the Ojibwa hunted porcupine, wild turky and fish. I also didn't know that there houses are a dome shape.
