Today is Veterans Day! A veteran is a person who served in the military. Watch this brief video on the history of Veterans Day before you respond to the questions below.

Our country is an amazing place because we can dream great things and have many resources to achieve our dreams. We have awesome cities, homes, and schools and live our lives without hardships that many around the world deal with. Being kind to one another and doing our best shows respect for all the men and women who have fought for our country. I am taking extra time to be thankful for the men and women who have made the US a wonderful place for us today.
ReplyDeleteI like my country because we are free to do anything we want to do and no one tells us what we can do. We can show that we appreciate our veterans by going to the parade in Washington, DC on November, 11th. This day is a day to remember our veterans and to appreciate what they have done for us and our freedom.
ReplyDeleteI like our country because we are free and not led by some king or queen like other countries. We can show the veterans our appreciation by reaching out to them and saying thank you, shaking their hand and say "I really do appreciate the work you have done for this country", or you can just give them a simple smile.

ReplyDeleteI like our country because we ALL are FREE. Unlike England, we DON'T have a King or Queen. And people CAN"T tell us what to do. We can show our appreciation by, If you have a family member you can give them a call or if they have passed you can buy a flowers to put at their grave or take out an old picture. Just a little smile will make them happy. Or you can take a few minutes to be quiet and remember them and be happy that people risk their lives for us to have freedom! Most of us have a family member that served. My greatgrandfather served in WW11 and I took time to remember him.

We can show thanks to our Bulldogs...I mean we can show thanks to our Veterans by Sending them something they like. Such as cards, Blankets et. You can also send them a smile!

I love our country because we have our own rights, we aren't led by a kind or a queen, and I'm glad that we have freedom. I have three veterans in my family my great grandfather George Mullet, my grandfather Samuel Mullet, and my grandpa Bill McCartney. We can show we appreciate veterans by shaking their hand, a simple "Hello!", or you can give them a card. I hope everyone has a great veterans day! :D
ReplyDeleteI like our country because we can be free. We don't have kings or queens like some ether countries. We are lucky that we have the army,marines ,navy and air force. We can help veterans by sending cards, calling. if one of them has passed in your family you can pray for them or look at a picture to be kind and say thank you for serving are country. my dads grandfather was in the army so was my grandfather he was a marines. HAVE A GREAT DAY!! HAPPY VETERANS DAY!!!
ReplyDeleteI love are country because it is a free country and anyone can become president. And men and women have equal rights also it is a safe country and civilized. I love veterans day because it honors people that have risked there lives for us and dyed for us and they should be honored for that. By honoring them by helping the people who have gotten wounded by giving resources that they don't have over seas our going to there graves and praying to those who have died and telling them how thankful we are for. ReplyDeleteI like our country because we are free, we have the wright of speech we have the wright to vote,we have no king or queen,we are safe,we can do anything we want to do,we can choose our job,and woman can vote go to school and have jobs. My grandfather was in the millitary but I don't know what he was. We should thank our veterens by sending them a card, emailing them, and if the have past away we could put a reath on there grave. ReplyDeleteI like our country because we get freedom of speech and freedom to write, and have right to vote. We can show our love to the veterans by learning about them, by sending them cards or by sending them gifts. We can respect them by putting flowers on their graves when you visit the cematary.
