Living History Museum

Today, we visited 4th Grade's Living History Museum. We took our clipboards to write down key facts and information about historical people we are interested in. Please list the people you visited. Then, choose one person to focus on. Share his or her character traits and what they are remembered for.

    *Bessie Colman was brave and courageous. She is known for her flying and her passion for flying and determination, she even went to France!

  2. I liked John Muir because he was never in the same spot until he got married. I can't remeber who he got married to. But I did learn that John muir in scottish means wild man.

  3. Milton Hershey, Dr. Seuss. Dr. Seuss=Determined, Brave, Thoughtful. Dr. Seuss is remembered for being the best children’s book author/illustrator.

  4. Today I visited Neil Armstrong, Milton Hershey, and *Marie Curie. I loved Marie Curie. Marie was born November 7th 1867 in Poland. Marie went to the university of paris. In 1903 Marie won the nobel prize and won six different medals and one was for physics. Then on the 4th of July 1934 at age 66 Marie died. I can't wait for next years history museum!.

  6. I visited Albert Einstein, Marie Curie and Milton Hershey. Milton Hershey was my favorite. He is remembered for making the famous Hershey Bar.

  7. Today I visited Franklin D. Roosevelt. He was in a wheel chair because his legs were paralyzed when he was a young man from polio. He ran for president and won by a lot of votes. I also saw Neil Armstrong who was the first man to step on the moon. He went on the Apollo 11 mission. I also visited Sally Ride, the first woman in space. She waited for four years in pilot school. I also visited Jane Goodall. She was known for caring for chimpanzees. She learned a lot about chimpanzees.

  8. I visited Milton Hershey,
    Althea Gibson, and Jackie Robinson, My favorite was Jackie Robinson because he was the first African American person to play Major League baseball. One day he was going back to his town from a baseball game and it was in the middle of Pearl Harbor and so he was almost killed. He inspired me because I like baseball.

  9. Today I saw Lou Greiug, Althea Gibson, Milton Hershey and Jackie Robinson. My favorite was Jackie Robinson because it amazes me the he was so brave..

  10. I took notes on, Jane goodall, Amelia Earhart, and Fraclin Rosevelt. My favorite was Amelia Earhart, some of Amelias charactor trates were she was a tom boy, she was determened, and she was fearless.She was the first women to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. the name of the plane Amelia was flying in was called the Friendship. But when she tryed to fly across world she dissapered on 2/3 of the way. She was remebered for being so brave and for standing up for womens rights.

    My favorite was Wilma Rudolf because she never gave up and was always determined to do anything . She never backed down and she was always courageous for many reasons. When she ran, she fell down but kept on going and she twisted her ankle, was in the hospital. She still did not give up and she got hurt and still won a gold MEDAL. She is my role model because she never backed down. Wilma Rudolf is always remembered in our presence.
