  1. 2 things I'm still wondering about is where and how did they shower? And how did they brush there teeth? And now for what I learned the pioneers thought that the rest of the country was a dry desert but it was useful land. They called their wagons prairie schooners. Love the coolest Oregon Trail traveler Helena!

A other fact that I learned that they moved 15 miles every day but on muddy days they would only moved one. my facts about the western expansion was that there were 2500 people on the oregon trail. When the pioneers came the native americans were loosing buffalo and the cattle ate all the grass.A other thing is that the oregon trail turned into a train track. And thats about it!!

  6. Hi it is Kate and I still have this question that is getting on my nerves that is Do they take showers and were do they take them? One of the things I learned was That they (pioneers) thought the land was just a dry dessert. Another thing I learned was that everybody lived East and they wanted the country to grow. One more thing was they wanted more land and needed fresh air and get away from sickness

  7. I learned that #1 In the 19 century the US stretched from the Atlantic Ocean in the east to the rocky mountains in the west. #2 most of the land beyond the Mississippi was untouched. #3 Native Americans basically lived where the pioneers were going to put their claim on the land and they also broke a lot of oaths. #4 there were not many pioneers who had come to the new land yet. #5 they wanted their country to grow larger. #6 when they wrote letters to their family and friends they described the land as fertile and everyone wanted to come and live there too. #7 the pioneers wanted a new life. #8 they started a route that became known as the Oregon Trail!!!

  10. I learned a lot from that video. I learned that the start point was Independence, Missouri. The journey took the pioneers four to six months! That's a LONG time! The pioneers thought that the native americans would be really mean. The Native Americans were not mean. I still wonder what would happen if one of the children pioneers were spoiled and threw lots of fits. That would be hard on the parents! I wonder if any of them stayed in the east. Probably not.I learned a lot today! BYE!

  11. I couldn't watch the video because a glitch said that the web address was wrong ( whatever that means,) but I decided to blog eneyway about my BK. I know that 1 out of 10 pioneers died on the trip out west. I also know that some pioneers kept a journal or diary to write about their experiences. I also know that pioneers traveled in wagon trains and rubbed the top of ther wagon with oil to make it water proof. Also many pioneers gave birth on the trail.
