We had wonderful time sharing our Westward Expansion projects and work yesterday! I am curious. What was your favorite activity that we did during this unit? Was it the researching and journal writing, the iMovie, QRcode with audio and video, reading Hattie's journal or another activity?

DeleteI loved making iMovies because it is something I was very experienced in. I liked Hattie's journal because it gave lots of information on the trail. I liked doing the QR code because it was cool to see something, scan it with your phone, and POOF! A video. I do not enjoy brain-tracking, but it is very necessary.

DeleteI liked writing the journal and reading Hattie's diary. I liked how in Hattie's diary some of the characters were mean, and some were helpful and nice. I really loved writing the journal because we got to make up our own characters and I could really feel the exiperence. It was fun to see how moms and dads react to what you wrote.

DeleteI liked writing the brain tracks and my favorite thing was making the I movie .My least favorite thing I did was do the qr code . I also liked to write in my journal. I loved making the butter. The butter was delicious!

DeleteMy favorite part was the imovie trailer, the treasure chest and the snacks! I loved reading Hattie's journal and brain tracking! But I did not like looking for photos of diseases, it was disgusting. I loved reading my journal but it took a little long to finish reading. My parents loved watching the imovie and the QR code. They said " That the imovie was technology advance and they couldn't do it."

DeleteStudying westward expansion was very very fun.My favorite activity was making the i movies because I LOVE to make I movies and just cause its fun.This unit was the most fun unit of the year. I loved how we got to choose what our name was and we got to make up our families andI loved learning about the Oregon Trail. Making the butter was very fun I shook the butter SOOOOO hard! I had never learned about the Oregon Trail before and this was a fun way to learn about it. Ioved that we got to be another person in our journals and write about their expirences and emotions. My most fun journal entry was when we got to Oregon. I wrote about what we did when we got their and what it felt like to be in Oregon.

I liked showing my iMovie the best and did not like showing the little videos as much as the other things we showed. I also liked show ing my journal to my Mom and brother Jonathan. DeleteI loved making the imovies! Joanie and I did celebrations. Joanie was the one who did most of the pictures. I learned that you can actually delete slides and create new ones. I also enjoyed writing our journals, that was fun! I'm glad I got to present to my parents on Monday. But was sad because, they couldn't come on Wednesday. But on the bright side I got to present to Mrs. Fain, Mrs. Buettner, and Mrs. Dewhurst. I especially likes the butter, biscuits, and jerky!

DeleteMy favorite thing was making the journal. The reason I liked writing the journal was because you could wright whatever you wanted to and could add who ever you wanted to and you can create the story how ever you want it to be. The reason that I liked the journal more then the imovie is because on the imovie you had to do one subject to study. My parents really liked my pioneer stuff during pioneer hour, I kind of thought that during pioneer hour you wouldnt just get to show you parents yours but they can show them others. I really liked pioneers

ReplyDeleteMy favorite 2 things were writing the journal and making the i movie! I liked the journal because I liked learning and writing like we were living in the year 1843 and being a pioneer going on the Oregon trail. Making your pioneer name was also fun! I liked the the biscuits, honey, butter, and beef jerky from pioneer hour as well! The i movie was fun experimenting with as well. the pioneer unit has been fun. I don't think you should teach it any other way. See you tomorrow everyone!
